During his tenure, Kumar managed a $120 million budget and built a technology and operations team of over 600 professionals to deliver a digital banking and national payment system interconnecting every bank and biller in India, a transformative initiative that significantly advanced the country’s financial digitization.
Kumar is recognized as a global leader in technology and a renowned expert in cybersecurity and information security. He brings 20+ years experience in building secure digital infrastructures, mitigating cyber risks, and ensuring compliance with global security standards. Kumar holds a Master of Science in Robotics with a focus on AI from West Virginia University and a Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
